關於漂鳥舞蹈平台About Stray Birds Dance Platform
編舞家賴翃中於 2019 年發起漂鳥舞蹈平台 ( 以下簡稱漂鳥 ) 。「漂鳥」意為多方暫居的候鳥，也有實踐自身、多方體驗之意，期許每一位在平台上暫留的參與者，可以如同漂鳥般，實踐對舞蹈創作、多元交流或藝術參與的想像，並感受各方匯聚於平台的能量，相互激盪。
漂鳥以獨舞與雙人舞作品為主，固定於臺灣每年十二月舉行，呈現「Showcase特邀作品」及「Selection精選作品」兩種演出單元。在「Showcase」中，以策展主體方向邀請作品進行演出。「Selection」則在每年春季公開徵件，被選上之「Selection」單元除了演出機會，也提供「獎項機制」，漂鳥邀請具備相同理念的國際編舞競賽、藝術節、舞團與劇院場館作為平台合作單位，挑選屬意的舞蹈作品或編舞家，頒發獎項，進而牽起合作、演出機會，創造編舞家與國內外表演藝術市場的機會。
漂鳥是編舞家發表作品的管道、臺灣編舞家飛向國際的途徑，也是國際藝術家與臺灣實踐文化交流、藝術融會的橋樑，期許創造與帶起世界舞蹈動能的漣漪。
Choreographer LAI Hung-chung launched the “Stray Birds Dance Platform” (Stray Birds) in 2019. LAI took the reference of “Stray Birds” as the migratory birds that only stay for a short while in various places during their life cycle. It also means self-realization and experiencing in many places and aspects. The platform aims to expect every participant, while staying on it, can achieve his/her imagination for dance creation, diverse exchanging experiences, or artistic involvements like a migratory bird.
Stray Birds features solo and duet dance works and is held annually in Taiwan in December. It presents two categories of works: “Showcase” and “Selection”. In the “Showcase”, works are invited to perform under the direction of a given curatorial subject. The “Selection” is open for submissions every spring, in addition to performance opportunities, the “Selection” also provides an “award system.” Stray Birds invites international choreography competitions, art festivals, dance companies, and theater venues with similar goals as platform collaborative partners to select dance works or choreographers they favor, award prizes, and create opportunities for collaborations and performances. It should create opportunities for choreographers to enter the performing arts markets in Taiwan and internationally.
Stray Birds is a channel for choreographers to present their works, a way for Taiwanese choreographers to take off internationally, and a bridge for international artists to exchange cultures and integrate arts with Taiwan. It might just create enough energy to make some ripple in the world of dance.
